Keto Tandoori Prawn Skewers
Servings: 20 canapes
Ingredients
For the marinade
- 1 fresh long red chilli medium heat
- 2-3 cloves garlic 10g
- 1 cm fresh ginger 10-15g
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 1 ¼ tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg/mace
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon powder
- 30 g olive oil/coconut oil
For the prawns
- 500 g prawns
- 20-40 short skewers (this depends on the size of the prawns
- a few sprigs of fresh coriander or rocket to serve
For the dressing
- 1 lime
- greek natural yoghurt
- pinch salt
Instructions
- For the marinade, place chilli, garlic and ginger into the mixer, chop 5 seconds / speed 9 / mc on
- Scrape down, add all spices, salt and oil, stir 10 seconds / speed 2 / mc on, set aside
- Check prawns are deveined and thread onto the skewers
- Coat the prawns in the marinade and set aside in the fridge for as long as you can, 1 hour is good, 5 hours is great!
- Pan fry or bbq until done
- Combine dressing ingredients and serve along side the skewers
Non thermo mixer instructions
- Finely chop chilli, garlic and ginger
- Add all spices, salt and oil, stir to combine and set aside
- Check prawns are deveined and thread onto the skewers
- Coat the prawns in the marinade and set aside in the fridge for as long as you can, 1 hour is good, 5 hours is great!
- Pan fry or bbq until done
- Combine dressing ingredients and serve along side the skewers
